Doodles for Dogs Artist Social and Silent Auction

04/28/2018 @ 11:00 am - 7:00 pm

$10.00

Doodles for Dogs is a two part event. From 11-2, join us for a hot-dog cookout featuring delicious hot-dogs from Local Pig in exchange for a 5” x 7” drawing for the silent auction taking place later in the day, which benefits Wayside Waifs. (Doodles for Dogs, get it!?) From 5-7, there will be a reception and silent auction.

All artists are invited to participate in this event. Artists may bring any supplies needed to create a 5″ x 7″ “doodle” (drawing or painting) to display and sell in a silent auction. All artwork will be matted and framed by the Vanessa Lacy Gallery, so artwork must be completed on a flat surface such as paper or matboard. Artists must RSVP at the link below to ensure we order enough frames and hotdogs. Registration costs $10 to cover the cost of the fame and mat and includes all your food and drink for both the hot dog social in the afternoon and the silent auction later that evening. A portion of all sales will benefit Wayside Waifs animal shelter which will be bringing adorable, adoptable dogs to the silent auction! RSVP to this event at https://vanessalacygallery.com/artist-submissions/doodles-for-dogs/
The deadline to RSVP as an artist is April 14th. No RSVP is required to come to the silent auction.

From 5-7pm the Vanessa Lacy Gallery will host a reception for the silent auction with food and beer provided by Peculiar Brewing Co. Enjoy a night of bidding on your favorite doodles and meeting local artists. Come out to support local art, local animals, and to play with adorable, adoptable pets brought by foster families from Wayside Waifs.
